Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie King.
Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi! Thanks so much. Happy to share my story. I started my business in 2018 as a professional home organizer, not realizing that what I was truly stepping into was a much deeper calling. At first, my work focused purely on transforming physical spaces: helping clients declutter their homes, streamline their systems, and create order. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of people, and while the organized rooms were rewarding, the real magic was in witnessing my clients themselves transform.
I began to notice a pattern: the physical clutter wasn’t just “too much stuff” or lack of time. It was often a reflection of emotional weight, mental overwhelm, or unprocessed life experiences. That realization sent me on my own journey of self-discovery and healing.
I dove into modalities like Reiki, Guided Energy Medicine, breathwork, and shamanic studies. Not only to heal myself, but to understand how our inner world directly impacts the spaces we live in. Along the way, I became a Reiki Master, earned my Residential Organizing Certificate from NAPO, authored The ABCs of Home Organization, and launched a podcast of the same name to share bite-sized organizing wisdom. I also created a series of journals on Amazon — from gratitude and organizing to moon journals — designed to inspire mindfulness and intentional living.
Today, through my company Soulstice Living, I integrate home organization with holistic healing to help clients clear both physical clutter and stagnant energy so they can create a life that feels balanced, aligned, and deeply fulfilling.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is always a challenging journey, demanding a wide range of skills and pushing one’s limits. Yet I’m grateful for the bumpy road, as I’ve learned and grown so much.
On the business side, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to build a brand that reflected my evolving vision. When I first started organizing, I thought the work was just about the “stuff.” As my perspective shifted toward a more holistic approach, I had to reintroduce myself to my audience, redesign my offerings, and navigate the uncertainty that comes with drastic change.
Personally, I’ve walked through seasons of burnout, self-doubt, and healing from old wounds that I didn’t even know were shaping my life. There were times I was living on autopilot, feeling exhausted, joyless, and disconnected. I’ve had to face my own clutter, not in my home, but in my thoughts, emotions, and energy levels.
The turning point came when I realized that “healing” isn’t a one-time project. It’s an ongoing practice. The same way a home needs regular upkeep, so does our mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. And by giving myself permission to intentionally focus on my overall well-being, my energy shifted. That shift not only transformed my personal life but also deepened the way I show up for my clients.
We’ve been impressed with Soulstice Living, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Soulstice Living is the evolution of my organizing business into a holistic lifestyle brand. I specialize in helping clients reclaim both their spaces and their energy. That means yes, we declutter, organize, and create functional systems, but we also focus on the deeper “why” behind the clutter.
I provide one-on-one organizing sessions, house clearings, Guided Energy Medicine/Reiki, workshops, walk-and-chats, and an online organizing and holistic course for first time mamas. I also offer tools like journals, guides, and podcasts to empower people to create lasting change on their own. A friend and I host a monthly Heart Circle to help men and women connect with their hearts, offering experiences such as energy healing, breathwork, guided meditation, sound baths, intuitive movement or ecstatic dance. These gatherings are about building community, deepening self-awareness, and creating space for true transformation.
What sets Soulstice Living apart is the integration of physical organization with energy alignment. I don’t just want you to have a tidy home, I want you to learn the skills to keep it organized for life. But more than that, I want you to feel light, clear, and aligned when you walk into it, for it to become your sanctuary, a place that restores you and inspires you every…single…day.
Brand-wise, I’m proud that my work has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Homes & Gardens, CNN underscored, and on the FOX 26 Houston Morning Show. But what I’m most proud of is the impact on my clients, watching them rediscover joy, reclaim time, and feel truly at home in their own lives.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If you’re reading this and feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, I want you to know there’s another way. You have the power to create a life and home that supports the version of you that you want to become.
Start small. Clear a drawer. Take a deep breath. Journal for five minutes. These little steps of action create ripples. Before you know it, your space feels lighter, your mind feels clearer, and your days feel more intentional.
And if you need support, whether that’s hands-on organizing, pre-move decluttering, energy healing, or a roadmap to creating the life you dream about, Soulstice Living is available to you. Because healing starts at home. And it starts within you.
Sending you positive vibes and all the hugs.
